Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A temporary peace obligation has been agreed between Lufthansa and the Verdi union regarding ground staff. However, the employee representatives are already preparing for the possibility that arbitration could fail. Members are called to vote on indefinite strikes.

Since Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Verdi members who work for the Lufthansa Group in the area of ground staff have been able to vote on a so-called forced strike. The result is scheduled to be announced from March 28, 2024. If the mediation agreed upon is not successful, work stoppages could be called for indefinitely. The arbitration is scheduled to begin on March 25, 2024 and end on March 28, 2024. Until then, the agreed peace obligation applies.
