The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported strong growth in global air cargo demand in July 2024, marking the eighth consecutive month of double-digit year-on-year growth.
Demand increased by 13,6% compared to July 2023, supported by an increase in international operations and an increase in capacity of 8,3%. The Asia-Pacific region in particular showed the strongest growth at 17%. Despite global uncertainties, the air cargo sector is proving resilient, benefiting from global trade growth, e-commerce expansion and limited maritime shipping capacity.
