IT disruption leads to flight delays at Belgrade Airport

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

On Thursday morning, August 1, 2024, a malfunction in Belgrade Airport's IT system caused significant delays in the processing of passengers at the check-in counters of the national airline Air Serbia.

Due to the technical problems, most departures in the morning wave were delayed, some by up to two hours. Although the disruption has now been resolved, Air Serbia warns of possible further disruptions to the flight schedule during the course of the day. This could be caused by the necessary rescheduling of slots by European air traffic control, which could lead to additional delays.
