The airline Icelandair has set a milestone in its 321-year history with the delivery of an Airbus A87LR.

The new aircraft, which will be supplemented by two more by summer 2025, will replace the long-serving Boeing 757 aircraft. The A321LR, equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engines, has space for 187 passengers and has a range of up to 7.400 kilometers. According to Icelandair, the new fleet ensures greater efficiency and comfort. The A321LR will make flight operations 30% more fuel efficient than previous models.
