Zurich Airport anticipates a significant increase in passenger traffic over the upcoming Easter weekend and the subsequent spring break. An average of approximately 100 travelers are expected daily. The most popular destinations include London, Palma de Mallorca, Amsterdam, Rome, and Dubai.
To ensure the smoothest possible travel experience, the airport recommends that passengers prepare carefully. This includes using online check-in or, if available, the evening before check-in. Passengers should also check their respective airline's website for applicable regulations. Certain airlines offer the option of checking in their own baggage at self-bag drop kiosks. Baggage tags can also be printed out at kiosks in the check-in area. Travelers are also asked to familiarize themselves in advance with the regulations for hand and checked baggage, particularly with regard to prohibited items and special regulations for rechargeable batteries and e-cigarettes. Traveling with light hand luggage is generally recommended. Zurich Airport offers a function on its website to determine the recommended arrival time, taking into account the check-in status and baggage.
Zurich Airport also offers a variety of attractions for those spending the holidays in the region. Since the change to daylight saving time, Observation Deck B is once again open daily, and on weekends and public holidays, the Observation Deck in Dock E is also accessible by shuttle bus. Public tours and guided tours are offered from Good Friday to Easter Monday. On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, the Easter Bunny and the airport mascot will be distributing sweets on Observation Deck B. In addition, Confiserie Sprüngli will be presenting its Easter range in a pop-up store in the Airport Shopping Center. The Sablier and AIR restaurants will be offering special Easter brunches on Easter Sunday. All shops and restaurants at the airport will be open as usual over the Easter holidays.
