JetBlue reduces capacity at Washington Reagan Airport to cut costs

JetBlue will reduce the number of its daily flights from Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) from 2024 to 2025 between October 27 and March 20.

The measure is part of a comprehensive plan to reduce costs and stabilize the company financially. In addition to reducing flight frequencies, JetBlue will also discontinue service to Fort Myers and reduce flights to other destinations such as Boston and Orlando.

The airline has already reduced its capacity at several airports in recent months, including Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and is trying to focus on more profitable routes. Transatlantic connections are also being adjusted, with a temporary suspension of flights from Boston and New York to London Gatwick from October, while the connection to Heathrow will continue.
