After an intensive renovation phase, Klagenfurt Airport has opened its new bistro “UDO & ROY”.
The bistro, named after two well-known Wörthersee icons, offers guests an expanded culinary offering in a modern design. From breakfast dishes such as "Merci Chérie" to snacks and pastries, including "Roy's Choice", a wide variety of food and drinks are served. The bistro has 60 seats inside and 50 more on a newly designed terrace next to the terminal entrance.
The modernization of the bistro is part of a larger investment strategy at Klagenfurt Airport, which is being driven forward by the new management. Carinthia's Deputy Governor Martin Gruber praised the new developments at the airport at the opening. Maximilian Wildt, Managing Director of the airport, emphasized the importance of local entrepreneurs and materials in the renovation and announced future after-work events with live music to attract more local visitors.
In addition to the gastronomic innovations, Klagenfurt Airport remains well connected through regular direct flights from Austrian Airlines and Ryanair. From the 2024/25 winter flight schedule, Austrian Airlines will also offer a new direct connection between Hamburg and Klagenfurt.
