On June 7, 2024, Leipzig/Halle Airport will again host the 3rd Leipzig Night of Training. Visitors can take part in the wide range of information from 16:00 p.m. to 23:00 p.m. and find out about training opportunities directly at the airport as well as at other companies and authorities. The airport is served by buses on routes 1 to 4 to enable students, parents and anyone interested to take part.

Various companies and authorities such as Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, the Saxony Police, the Federal Police Academy, the Main Customs Office in Dresden, Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, DHL Hub Leipzig GmbH, STRABAG AG, Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau GmbH and the Bundeswehr will present themselves at the event. They provide information about training, internships and BA study places.

The LEJ career status provides an overview of the training opportunities at Leipzig/Halle Airport, where questions are answered by human resources employees. Apprenticeships such as electronics technicians, automotive mechatronics engineers, mechatronics engineers, IT system electronics engineers, plant mechanics, road maintenance workers, gardeners and specialist warehouse workers are presented. Those interested in commercial careers can also receive detailed advice.

A special highlight is the opportunity to view the airport technology up close. The airport fire department, the winter service and PortGround GmbH present their equipment and vehicles for aircraft and baggage handling. Technical areas such as green space maintenance, road management, electrical engineering and systems engineering will also be presented.

In total, almost 100 companies in Leipzig open their doors for the third night of training. Participation is free, but requires registration on the website www.leipzig.de/bildungsnacht, where free bus shuttles can also be booked. Visitors arriving by car can park in car parks P3 or P3 for a special price of €1, with the discount code available at the LEJ careers stand.
