Last Friday, the German charter airline Avanti Air took off for the first time on a flight from Linz to the Greek island of Skiathos in cooperation with Springer Reisen. The premiere was greeted by passengers at Linz Airport with great anticipation and good spirits. This new flight, available weekly until September 27, 2024, opens up new opportunities for holidaymakers to discover the lesser-known beauties of Greece.
Springer Reisen, a tour operator based in Carinthia, is expanding its offering to include this exclusive connection. The flight will be operated on a Dash 8-400, which can accommodate 76 passengers. Avantiair is a proven partner who is known for its reliability. Skiathos and the surrounding islands of Skopelos, Alonissos and the Pelion peninsula offer numerous attractive holiday destinations. The region is famous for its picturesque beaches and villages and was used as a backdrop for the popular film “Mamma Mia”.
“We are very pleased that this summer, apart from the classic Greek islands and in addition to Kefalonia and Lefkas – with Skiathos – we can offer another niche product. We can also welcome Springer Reisen, a new, very successful and renowned tour operator,” explained Norbert Draskovits, Managing Director of Linz Airport.
