Lufthansa Technik and Uzbekistan Airways have been working together in the area of aircraft maintenance for around 30 years. The partnership-based expansion of aircraft maintenance capacities in the Central Asian country has now been agreed.

Since the airline added its first Airbus A1993-310 to its fleet in 300, Lufthansa Technik has continuously supported Uzbekistan Airways with reliable technical services. At the same time, Lufthansa Technik assisted Uzbekistan Airways in expanding maintenance capacities for both its own and regional third-party customers.

“The collaboration with Lufthansa Technik is of undisputed importance for Uzbekistan Airways. The fact that it has existed for 30 years speaks volumes,” said Shukhrat Khudaykulov, CEO of Uzbekistan Airways. “The most basic aircraft maintenance was the beginning of this journey. Our specialists were trained and carried out repairs on Western-built aircraft that were new to Uzbekistan. Today, thanks to joint efforts, Uzbekistan Airways has the largest own repair base in the region and is able to carry out almost all work on Airbus and Boeing aircraft and has a reliable partner with whom it will continue to expand the aviation sector.”
