Lufthansa launches campaign with Dirk Nowitzki as new face

German airline Lufthansa has announced that it is partnering with former NBA star Dirk Nowitzki. Nowitzki will be the face of the new Lufthansa Allegris campaign, which promotes an improved travel experience on long-haul flights.

“Strong roots in Germany, but at home all over the world – that applies to both Dirk Nowitzki and Lufthansa,” explains Carsten Hoffmann, Vice President Lufthansa Brand Experience. Nowitzki, who is known for his values, charisma and high quality, is considered an ideal partner for the Allegris campaign.

The campaign showcases the new cabin equipment and seating options in the Allegris class, which are available in all travel classes from Economy to First Class. Particularly noteworthy are the five different seating options in Business Class, including a suite with doors, personal wardrobe and a minibar. In addition, the seats in First and Business Class have individually adjustable heating and cooling functions.

The campaign film shows Nowitzki in the new 2,20 meter long bed in Business Class, among other things. The international campaign is starting now in the USA and will also be shown in Germany and other countries in the coming months.
