March: Frankfurt Airport handles 4,6 million passengers

Despite strikes, Frankfurt Airport improved in March compared to the previous year. The strikes in March forced the airport to cancel 2.200 flights, meaning it handled 300.000 fewer passengers.

Frankfurt Airport had to contend with numerous strikes in March, which was also reflected in the final passenger numbers for the month. While 4,6 million passengers were counted in the previous month, around 2.200 passengers were canceled due to the cancellation of 300.000 flights. Nevertheless, Frankfurt Airport was able to impress in a direct comparison to the previous year: passenger numbers increased by 7,8 percent.
