The landing of the Airbus A330-800 operated by Air Greenland with the registration OY-GKN at Stavanger Airport is not an everyday occurrence. Due to a medical emergency, an unscheduled stopover had to be made.

The long-haul aircraft was on its way from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq under flight number GL781. According to Air Greenland, a medical emergency that occurred on board required an unscheduled stopover in Norway. The sick passenger was handed over to a medical team there. The Airbus A330-800 then continued the flight to Greenland.
