Military: Greek F-16 fighter jet crashed

An F-16 fighter jet belonging to the Greek Armed Forces crashed near the island of Psathoura during a training flight. The pilot survived and was subsequently rescued with the help of a Super Puma helicopter.

The cause of the crash is currently completely unclear. The investigation has already been initiated. In any case, the pilot survived and was taken to hospital for further examination and treatment after being rescued. A helicopter, a frigate and the civilian coast guard are said to have been involved in the rescue operation.
