On behalf of Travelcoup, the German passenger aviation company Heron Aviation will begin a non-stop connection between Munich and Hamburg on February 23, 2024. This will be served by Embraer 145s with a maximum of 22 seats.

Initially, three weekly rotations will be carried out. The cheapest ticket costs 365 euros one way. The implementation takes place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If successful, an increase is possible at a later date.

Travelcoup describes the flights as “semi-private jets”. The aim is to appeal to passengers who are dissatisfied with the business class offered by existing providers, but whose own business jet is not an option due to high costs, and to offer them more service.

Travelcoup offers its guests on board 22 approximately 58 cm wide first-class leather seats in a 1-1 configuration with a legroom of up to 116 cm, complimentary gourmet snacks and drinks and high-speed WiFi. The ERJ 145 used has no luggage compartments in the cabin and therefore offers an open spatial experience. The second exclusive Embraer 145 will be delivered in the summer, so that Travelcoup will bring more capacity to the market. In total, the fleet is expected to grow to five jets in the same configuration and equipment.

In the current winter flight schedule, Travelcoup continues to fly to the Balearic Islands and offers a total of four weekly flights from Munich and Zurich to Mallorca and Ibiza. Prices for flights to Mallorca start from 695 euros, to Ibiza from 818 euros (per person and route). Additional destinations in the Mediterranean region and additional departure airports in Germany and Switzerland are planned for the 2024 summer flight schedule.

“In the reduced winter flight schedule, we have the capacity to test promising routes and new target groups. On the north-south axis between Hamburg and Munich, we see attractive demand potential from business travelers for our semi-private jet offering. With our daytime flights we offer ideal flight times,” says Travelcoup CEO Niclas Seitz.
