Just in time for the start of spring, the new themed hike "Above the Trees" in the Vienna Woods was introduced. This 27-kilometer route leads hikers to eight unique lookout points from which they can enjoy impressive panoramic views of the Vienna Woods. The hiking route, which can be divided into shorter stages, offers an ideal opportunity to explore the region in a relaxed manner and be inspired by nature.

The initiator of the hike, Andrea Bogner from Wienerwald Tourism, explains that the idea for "Above the Trees" came about after a personal exploration. She noticed the numerous viewpoints along the Vienna Woods, which have now been linked together in a connected hiking route. The new thematic map not only includes route data and elevation information, but also information on refreshment stops and overnight accommodations along the way. This makes the hike a holistic experience for body, mind, and soul.

The route is divided into three stages and can be hiked year-round. The Vienna Woods communities are well connected by the Southern Railway network, making the hike an ideal car-free leisure experience. The observation towers and surrounding nature also provide an ideal backdrop for rest and relaxation. Bad Vöslau, a popular starting point, contributes to the tour's special atmosphere with its pristine nature.
