Salzburg Airport now offers travelers a new non-stop connection to the Spanish Mediterranean coast. The Irish airline Ryanair will fly twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, to Alicante on the Costa Blanca in its summer schedule. The new route complements the existing range of sunny destinations and is aimed at both beach vacationers and culture lovers.
Alicante is known for its long sandy beaches, Mediterranean climate, and numerous attractions such as the Castillo de Santa Bárbara and the MARQ archaeological museum. With this expansion, Ryanair strengthens its presence in Salzburg, where the company already serves London Stansted year-round and Dublin and Manchester in the winter schedule.
In addition to Alicante, Eurowings is also expanding its summer offerings from Salzburg with a new connection to Barcelona. Popular destinations such as Mallorca, Ibiza, and various Greek islands will also remain on the schedule. The offering is complemented by connections to Corsica, Sardinia, Egypt, Cyprus, and Lamezia Terme. For travelers who prefer more northerly destinations, up to three weekly flights to Copenhagen are also available.
