Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) recorded a slight increase in passenger traffic in March 2025 compared to the same month last year. According to preliminary figures from the traffic report, 1,95 million travelers used BER, an increase of 0,03 million compared to the 1,92 million passengers in March 2024. The busiest day of the month was Sunday, March 9, with 80.065 passengers.

The number of flight movements at BER also increased in March 2025. A total of 15.227 aircraft took off and landed, representing an increase of 4,0 percent compared to the 14.636 takeoffs and landings in March of the previous year. This increase indicates a continued rise in demand for air travel to and from Berlin.

The increase in air freight was significantly stronger. In March 2025, a total of 4.315 tons of cargo were handled at BER. This represents an increase of 22,3 percent compared to the cargo volume in March 2024. The positive development in freight traffic could indicate increased economic activity in the region.
