The Turkish airline Pegasus intends to set up a branch in the European Union. It is hoped that this will provide better access to the market, because so far, as a non-EU carrier, you are only allowed to fly between Turkey and destinations in the European Union.

It has not yet been decided where the new company will be founded, because according to company management, Pegasus is leaning between Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic. This is notable because Lithuania and Malta have emerged as particularly popular locations for new subsidiaries in recent years.
The Turkish airline is still tight-lipped about a possible schedule. It is not yet clear in which EU state the company will be founded. According to local media reports, what speaks for Romania is that Pegasus has been having aircraft serviced by a provider in Bucharest for several years.
