  • Pilatus uses solar fuels from Synhelion for its own flight operations.
  • Pilatus will also offer solar fuels to its customers in the medium term.
  • Synhelion is currently building the world's first industrial plant for the production of solar fuel in Germany.
  • The construction of the first commercial plant in Spain is planned from 2025.

Goals of the partnership:

  • Decarbonizing air travel
  • Replacing fossil fuels with renewable solar fuels
  • Accelerating Solar Fuel Scaling

Importance of partnership:

The partnership between Pilatus and Synhelion is an important step towards decarbonizing air traffic. Solar fuels have the potential to completely replace fossil fuels and make air travel emission-free. The collaboration between the two companies will help accelerate the scaling of solar fuels and make them available more quickly.
