Returnable bottles: Dortmund Airport donates to the Kinderglück Foundation

In Germany, there has been a one-way deposit for bottles and cans for many years. Especially at airports, the containers, for which you had to pay 0,25 euros, often end up in the garbage. More and more airports have collection boxes, the proceeds of which are donated to charity.

In Dortmund, the "deposit income" will go to the Kinderglück Foundation this year. The foundation has been supporting disadvantaged children and young people for 16 years. “'Achieving more together' is one of our guiding principles for the implementation of our aid projects. We are now implementing this motto together with Dortmund Airport and the proceeds from the returnable bottles”, says Bernd Krispin, founder and 1st chairman of the Kinderglück Foundation. "We are pleased about the cooperation with Dortmund Airport."

“We are delighted to be able to support the Kinderglück Foundation this year and hopefully be able to give a smile to many children. A heartfelt thank you goes to all passengers who make this possible with their deposit donations!” said Airport CEO Ludger van Bebber.
