Ryanair expands flight offer from Linz

From the 2025 summer flight schedule, Ryanair will expand its route network from Linz Airport. From the end of March 2025, the Italian port city of Bari and the Spanish Mediterranean destination Alicante will be served as new destinations twice a week. These routes complement the existing offering, which already includes direct flights to London.

The new flight times to Bari are Mondays and Fridays, while Alicante will be served on Tuesdays and Saturdays. With this expansion, Ryanair is strengthening its presence in Austria and underlining the importance of Linz Airport for regional tourism and the economy.

The airline stresses that the new routes not only facilitate access to popular holiday destinations, but can also create jobs and promote economic growth in the region. However, criticism continues to be directed at the Austrian air traffic tax, which Ryanair says is an obstacle to further expansion.

From April 1, 2025, Ryanair will operate the flights with a Boeing 737-800, which can carry up to 189 passengers. The new connections can already be booked and are accompanied by attractive ticket promotions.
