Ryanair is looking at United Airlines B737 Max 10 order

Advertising

The low-cost airline Ryanair is looking at Boeing 737-Max-10 aircraft, which United Airlines may no longer want. The carrier informed the US manufacturer that they would buy them if the price was right.

In the wake of the incident that occurred at the beginning of January 2024 with an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max-9, United Airlines wants to do without the Max-10 for the time being. The order is currently in jeopardy, although it has not yet been officially canceled. Negotiations are underway with competitor Airbus about a possible increase in an existing A321neo order.

Now Ryanair comes into play: The Irish low-cost airline has offered its supplier Boeing that it would buy the Max-10 aircraft if United Airlines did not want them and they could agree on the price. This is reported by the Reuters news agency, citing people familiar with the matter.
