The first Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight took off from Salzburg to Copenhagen at the weekend. The Scandinavian airline based in Stockholm will connect the city of Mozart with the Danish capital until September 28, 2024. “Copenhagen has now landed in summer,” says airport manager Bettina Ganghofer happily, “from now on the route will not only bring guests from Denmark to Salzburg, but also offer the local population an ideal additional holiday opportunity for a weekend trip to Copenhagen.”
SAS has been a reliable partner in the winter season for years and brings many winter sports enthusiasts from the far north to Salzburg. This new summer connection further increases the attractiveness of the flight program from Salzburg. Salzburg, known for its picturesque alpine pastures, impressive gorges, unique lake landscape, mines, castles, palaces and historical buildings, offers numerous opportunities for sport and relaxation. The addition of Copenhagen to the summer route network allows Danish guests to enjoy the beauty of Salzburg's mountains and lakes even in summer.
Deputy State Governor Stefan Schnöll emphasized: “The flight program from Salzburg is very attractive and offers many opportunities to reach destinations around the world. The city destination of Copenhagen is a wonderful addition to the summer route network.”
