The airline Saudi Arabian Airlines is giving itself a new brand identity, which also includes an aircraft design that is strongly reminiscent of retro livery. The cabin crew will gradually be equipped with new uniforms.
The airline itself describes the new appearance as a “new era for Saudia”. The use of green, blue and sand tones is intended to symbolize the ambitions to expand the fleet and open up new destinations. In addition to the visual aspects, the airline is introducing a new scent and sound identity as well as locally inspired cuisine as part of its in-flight service.
The new livery appears in white with green and blue lines. According to the airline, this is intended to symbolize the values of progress and change. The rear is now green and contains the new logo. The new Saudia logo is now attached to the fuselage. The design is strongly reminiscent of a retro livery, but in the future all machines will be painted like this.
As part of the rebranding, the cabin and ground staff will also be given new uniforms. The new cabin crew uniforms feature a color palette consisting of shades and nuances of purple, beige, gold and royal blue. These have already been used selectively on individual routes for around three years. This is now to be rolled out to all routes and to all ground staff.
