Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Actually, the insolvent low-cost airline Mango Airlines should have been sold long ago. However, the government tried to prevent the transaction. The South African Supreme Court has now cleared the way in an appeal process.

According to local media reports, the shares will now be transferred to Ubuntu Air Services. This does not yet ensure that the former South African Airways subsidiary can take to the skies again. In 2021, Mango Airlines had to file for bankruptcy protection proceedings. Some time later, flight operations had to be stopped for financial reasons.
