Spain: Iberia faces ground staff strike

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A ground staff strike is looming at the Spanish airline Iberia. The COO and UGT unions are calling on employees to stop work from December 29, 2023 to January 1, 2024 and January 4 to 7, 2024.

The ground staff who work for Iberia at various Spanish airports are affected. The background is that the measure is a protest against contracts that the airport operator Aena recently concluded with other ground handling providers. It is to be expected that the strike will not only affect IAG airlines, but also others, as it has numerous customer airlines.
