Spirit Airlines: Executives stock up on stocks

After Jetblue Airways' merger with Spirit Airlines failed, a total of eight Spirit executives purchased their employer's common shares on a large scale.

Mandatory returns filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show a total of $70.412 was spent. According to CH-Aviation.com, the buyers of Spirit shares include CEO Edward Christie, CFO Scott Haralson and six other top executives.
