On December 1, 2023, Thai Airways International launched its first direct flight from Brussels Airport to Bangkok, the first non-stop connection between Belgium and Thailand.

The connection has been resumed after a pandemic-related break and is offered daily. The flight time is around 11 hours. The airline uses Boeing 787-8, an efficient aircraft model, on the route. The first flight was accompanied by an inauguration ceremony attended by high-ranking representatives from Belgium and Thailand.
