Till Streichert becomes Lufthansa's chief financial officer

The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG has appointed Till Streichert to the company's Executive Board, and he will take on the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from September 15, 2024. His contract runs until September 14, 2027.

Following the departure of Remco Steenbergen on May 7th of this year, board member Michael Niggemann will temporarily take over the duties of CFO. From mid-September, Till Streichert will be responsible for controlling and risk management, corporate finance, accounting and balance sheets, investor relations, taxes, financial services and mergers and acquisitions in the finance department.

Karl-Ludwig Kley, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, emphasises: "With Till Streichert, we are gaining an internationally experienced and renowned financial expert as the new CFO for the Lufthansa Group. He brings with him excellent financial expertise from various companies and industries and has also convinced the Supervisory Board with his personality."

Till Streichert is currently CFO of Amadeus IT Group based in Madrid, Spain. In his career spanning over 20 years, he has worked in various global leadership and financial management positions, including at T-Mobile UK, Boston Consulting Group, Vodafone Romania and Vodacom South Africa.

Streichert, a doctor of philosophy with a master's degree in political science and philosophy from Leibniz University Hannover, completed the Executive Program at Singularity University in Mountain View, California (USA) in 2018. He is 50 years old, married and has a daughter.

Carsten Spohr, CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, is optimistic about Streichert's contribution to the executive team and emphasizes the challenges the company faces.
