A total of 49,2 million guests came, which represents an increase of nine percent compared to the previous year. The destinations Istanbul and Antalya are particularly popular, with Istanbul leading the way with over 14 million and Antalya with more than 13,3 million guests. The strong growth of the Chinese market with an increase of 84 percent is particularly noteworthy. Due to this success, the tourist office has increased its annual forecast to 61 million guests.
