Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Passengers wishing to enter the UK around Christmas should be prepared for longer waiting times. The union PCS calls on the border police to walk out.

The airports affected are Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Glasgow. PCS calls its members to strike on the following dates: December 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2022.

Better working conditions and an increase in wages of around ten percent are required. It is currently not possible to estimate how many civil servants will take part in the strikes. However, passengers should be prepared for longer waiting times when entering the United Kingdom.
