Vienna Airport has received the prestigious Skytrax award for "Best Airport Staff in Europe" for the fifth time. This honor is based on the reviews of millions of passengers worldwide, who particularly highlighted the friendliness, customer focus, helpfulness, and competence of the airport staff in various areas such as check-in, security checks, lounges, and catering.

The award ceremony took place as part of the "Passenger Terminal Expo 2025" trade fair in Madrid. Vienna Airport had already received this award in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019, making it one of the European leaders in service quality for years.

The members of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG, Julian Jäger and Günther Ofner, emphasized that this international recognition is a tribute to all employees who, with their commitment and expertise, contribute daily to the smooth running of the airport and create a travel experience that exceeds the standard. Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, praised the team at Vienna Airport as an outstanding example of customer service at the highest level, reflecting the positive feedback from passengers. In the overall global ranking of Skytrax World's Best Airports, Vienna Airport currently ranks third in its size category (20-30 million passengers), underscoring its global importance.

Vienna Airport has been pursuing a consistent strategy to improve service quality for years, including investments in digitalization, infrastructure, and, above all, its personnel. This award is a further sign of the success of these efforts. This positive track record is complemented by the 4-star rating from Skytrax and its position as the most punctual hub in the Lufthansa Group and one of the most punctual airports in Europe. With the planned southern expansion, which will create a new terminal area with expanded shopping, dining, and lounge areas by 2027, Vienna Airport continues to focus on quality and service orientation to consolidate its position in international competition and become a 5-star airport.
