Vienna Airport has reactivated Terminal 1A

At the beginning of the 2023 summer timetable period, Vienna-Schwechat Airport put Terminal 1A back into operation. This is only used for check-in and luggage drop-off and is located opposite Terminal 1.

In the early 2000s, the building erected on a parking lot was only supposed to serve as a temporary solution for a few years. However, it was in continuous operation until the beginning of the Corona pandemic. In March 2020, it was temporarily taken off the grid together with Terminals 1 and 2. With the "reopening" of T1A, all check-in areas and terminals are now online again.
