The low-cost airline Wizz Air is further expanding its base in Belgrade. From summer 2025, a fourth Airbus A321neo will be stationed at the airport in the Serbian capital. With this expansion, the airline is introducing two new routes to Friedrichshafen and Alicante and increasing the flight frequency on seven existing routes. In total, 119.000 additional seats are available, which corresponds to a capacity increase of 24 percent compared to summer 2024.

Wizz Air has been active in Serbia since 2010 and has continuously expanded its route network since then. The airline currently offers 22 connections to 25 destinations and has a 70 percent market share in the low-cost flight sector. In addition to the new destinations Friedrichshafen and Alicante, other existing routes are also benefiting from increased frequency, further expanding the range of services for travelers in the region.
