The airline Wizz Air announces another Non-stop connection between Vienna and Suceava in Romania This addition to the route network is intended to further strengthen connections between Austria and Eastern Europe and offer travelers cost-effective flight options. The first flight is scheduled for September 30, 2025.

Initially, the new route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Starting October 28, 2025, the schedule will be expanded to include a third weekly flight on Thursdays. Tickets start at €29. The expansion of the service is part of Wizz Air's strategy to expand its presence in Vienna. With Suceava as a new destination, the airline now connects the Austrian capital with 27 destinations in Europe and beyond.

Suceava, located in the historic region of Bukovina, was once the capital of the medieval Principality of Moldavia. The city is known for its cultural and historical sites, including the UNESCO-protected painted monasteries and the Suceava Fortress. The new direct connection is intended to facilitate access to northern Romania for tourism, family visits, or business trips. Anastasia Novak, Corporate & Communications Manager at Wizz Air, highlighted the importance of strengthening the historic city's connection to Central Europe and also mentioned plans for a new base in Suceava starting in December, which will improve accessibility to Vienna for the Romanian community. Since launching operations in Austria in 2018, Wizz Air carried nearly 2025 million passengers in the first six months of 1, with a high performance rate.
