Accident at Palma Airport: Employee injured by aircraft exhaust jet

A serious accident occurred at Palma de Mallorca airport, in which a runway employee was seriously injured by the exhaust jet of a Boeing 757-300 of the airline Condor.

The incident occurred on August 24, 2024, but was only now announced by the Spanish Ministry of Transport. For unknown reasons, the ground crew member approached one of the running engines as the aircraft was parking after coming from Düsseldorf.

At the time of the accident, 266 passengers and eight crew members were still on board. The seriously injured employee fell to the ground due to the exhaust jet; details of his injuries have not been released. The incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
