To mark the start of the holidays in Saxony and Thuringia, a total of 92 passing aircraft will take off from Central German airports from next Friday to Sunday - 35 at Dresden Airport and 57 at Leipzig/Halle Airport. In addition to sunny destinations on the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf, European and German cities can be found on the departure boards.
At the start of the holiday, 31 aircraft and 26 scheduled flights will take off from Leipzig/Halle to sunny destinations. Nine aircraft fly to Hurghada alone, Antalya and Las Palmas are flown to seven and four times respectively on the first holiday weekend. Other holiday destinations on the flight schedule include: Mallorca, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Marsa Alam as well as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In addition, 26 scheduled flights to hubs are planned, including twelve to Frankfurt and six to Munich. Vienna and Istanbul will be served three times at the start of the holidays and London twice. Leipzig/Halle Airport's winter flight schedule offers connections to 16 destinations in nine countries, served by 18 airlines. Up to 135 flights take off every week.
At the start of the holiday season, 28 scheduled and seven holiday aircraft will take off from Dresden. Two planes each take off to Antalya, Hurghada and Palma de Mallorca. Las Palmas is also served. Lufthansa takes off most frequently from Dresden at the start of the holidays. The airline flies to the Frankfurt hub twelve times. Nine flights leave for Munich. A large number of destinations worldwide can be easily reached via the turnstiles. Eurowings also flies to Düsseldorf twice. KLM connects Dresden with Amsterdam three times at the start of the holiday. Swiss flies to Zurich twice. There are numerous international connecting connections via both hubs. Dresden Airport's winter flight schedule offers connections to 11 destinations in six countries, served by eight airlines. Up to 80 flights take off every week.
