ADV: Air transport demand remains stable

In September 2021, the volume of traffic at German airports was just under 45,9 percent of the pre-crisis level.

Exactly 11.173.115 passengers used the German airports in September. Compared to the pre-crisis year 2019, the decrease is -54,1 percent. Compared to September last year, there are more than twice as many passengers (+134,0 percent). The cargo volume continues to grow in double digits: 445.819t means +12,7 percent compared to the previous year and compared to 2019 it is +13,2 percent. The number of commercial flight movements is +37,1 percent above the previous year, but significantly lower than in 2019 at -39,1 percent. The airports recorded 128.677 take-offs and landings.
