The German holiday airline Condor put the fourth Airbus A330-200 into active scheduled service on Saturday. The D-AIYA was initially used between Frankfurt am Main and Palma de Mallorca.

The sub-fleet, which is temporarily used as preparation for the Airbus A330neo machine type, which is to be flown into the fleet from autumn 2022, has now grown to four units. These were formerly in service with Etihad Airways and bear the registrations D-AIYA, D-AIYB, D-AIYC and D-AIYD.

The newcomer was transferred from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt on June 2, 2022. Condor has been using this long-haul aircraft commercially since June 4, 2022. Over the Pentecost weekend, this machine flew to Rhodes and Palma de Mallorca, among other places. An Airbus A340 operated by the Maltese Airhub Airlines was also used on Mallorca flights over the busy weekend.
