The low-cost airline Air Asia Management estimates sales at around $2023 million. There were also significantly more passengers on board.

The carrier states that 807.000 passengers were transported in the third quarter of the current year and capacity was increased by 24 percent. In a direct comparison to the same period last year, more than ten times as many travelers were flown. With its current fleet of 17 Airbus A330-300s and an outstanding order for 15 A330-900s, Air Asia X can now focus on finding future opportunities for its fleet.

"Our strategy to enhance the recovery of the company's network and increase revenues in line with demand in our core markets remains a priority," said Chief Executive Officer Benyamin Ismail. AirAsia X is pleased to report that all key business metrics have continued to exceed expectations over the past 12 months, even as travel demand has normalized following the initial boom due to pent-up demand."

Air Asia X has also now managed to exit the insolvency proceedings. They were in a PN17 process for over two years. The court rejected a corresponding application in July 2023. Now the judges, also under the impression of the latest financial figures, saw the situation differently and have released the carrier from the insolvency proceedings.
