The Air Baltic subsidiary has now finally completed training on the Boeing 737 full flight simulator. The simulator is no longer needed as the Latvian airline operates a pure Airbus fleet. Therefore, the device has already been sold to a French company.
“By 2024, 50 Airbus A220-300 aircraft will be in service for Air Baltic. In concrete terms, this means that the crew's training needs will significantly exceed current capacity, ”says Air Baltic COO Pauls Cālītis. Therefore Air Baltic Training is pushing the purchase of a second Airbus A220 full flight simulator in the future. The outgoing Boeing 737 simulator has been in operation since its inception in 2010. During this time, more than 50.000 hours of training were carried out on it.
