Air Baltic records strong growth and new passenger records in July 2024

Latvian airline Air Baltic continued its strong performance in July 2024, carrying more than half a million passengers, an increase of 9% year-on-year. With a total of 4.550 flights, the airline recorded an increase of 6% compared to the same month last year. Particularly noteworthy are the new passenger records at Air Baltic's bases in Estonia and Lithuania, which represented the highest numbers ever recorded in July, with increases of 14% and 24% to 92.000 and 80.000 passengers respectively.

Pauls Cālītis, Chief Operations Officer of air Baltic, said that the airline maintained its operational performance and set new records in its home markets of Estonia and Lithuania. In 2024, air Baltic will operate more than 130 routes, including 20 new ones, and cooperate with 24 code-share partners to provide comprehensive connections between the Baltics and the rest of the world. Six new routes are planned for the winter season, including four from Riga, one from Tallinn and one from Vilnius.

In addition, Air Baltic achieved a record load factor of 88,8% in July, an increase of 5,8 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The airline serves numerous destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caucasus region.
