The Star Alliance member Air Canada will soon be serving the Munich-Toronto route three times a week again. Long-haul Boeing 787-9 jets are used as aircraft.

The Canadian government announced that from September 7, 2021, international travel will be opened to people fully vaccinated against Covid-19. The vaccines from Moderna, Biontech / Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson are recognized. The last necessary dose must have been injected at least 14 days before departure.

"The easing of global travel restrictions allows us to gradually rebuild our international network and offers us the opportunity as a global airline to reconnect the world with Canada. Germans will be happy to travel to Canada again and we are prepared to bring our customers back together with their families and friends," said Jean-Christophe Hérault, Regional Sales Manager Germany, Switzerland, Austria & Eastern Europe at Air Canada. "The flight connection from Munich to Toronto offers convenient connections to numerous destinations in Canada and the USA beyond the Toronto hub. With our industry-leading hygiene concept CleanCare+, the health and safety of passengers is Air Canada's top priority. We know that people are happy to travel again and we look forward to welcoming our customers on board."

Air Canada operates the route up to three times a week with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 298 seats. There are three service classes to choose from on board: Air Canada Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. "We are very pleased about the resumption of the non-stop connection from Munich to Toronto and see this as an important sign of a further recovery in transatlantic traffic," commented Jost Lammers, CEO of Flughafen München GmbH.
