The airline Air France will again operate the China program effective July 1, 2023. Destinations Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong will be served daily. Only a few weekly circulations are currently offered.

The Chinese capital is currently only served once a week from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. There are twice-weekly flights to Shanghai, with this route being expanded to include a further frequency as of February 3, 2023. Hong Kong only reactivated Air France on January 9, 2023 and is currently served three times a week. As of July 1, 2023, the three destinations are to be served daily again.

Air France has been flying to the People's Republic of China since 1966. Before the corona pandemic, there were up to 32 weekly connections to this country. This also includes flights in special administrative zones. The French carrier wants to gradually reach the pre-crisis level again.

Boeing 777-300ERs will be used in the direction of Shanghai. This has the youngest long-haul cabin. 309 seats are available, distributed as follows: 273 in economy class and 48 each in premium economy and business class.

The destinations Hong Kong and Beijing are to be served with Boeing 787-9. This machine type has 279 seats at Air France. Of these, 228 are in economy class, 21 in premium economy class and 30 in business class.
