Air France, KLM, Delta and Trenitalia expand their offerings in Italy

The airlines Air France, KLM and Delta Airlines, in collaboration with the Italian rail operator Trenitalia, have entered into a partnership to offer travelers in Italy a wider choice of destinations and more flexible travel options.

This cooperation will enable passengers to book combined flights and trains in one booking. For example, it is possible to fly from New York-JFK to Rome and then continue their journey with the Frecciarossa high-speed train.

The partnership allows frequent flyers to collect and redeem both miles from Skyteam airlines and points in Trenitalia's Cartafreccia program. This significantly improves connectivity between air and rail, as 14 Skyteam airlines already offer connections to Italy. This new option significantly expands the travel offer, especially for international tourists and business travelers who want to switch seamlessly between air and rail travel.
