The airline Air Malta will be present again at Hamburg Airport from October 28, 2020. The carrier withdrew in the previous year, but will now again offer two weekly rotations to Luqa.
Air Malta is owned by the Maltese state. The fleet currently consists of three Airbus A320neo and one for A320ceo. Another state-owned aviation company is Malta MedAir, which originally flew exclusively on behalf of Air Malta. The company has been in the air for a few months on its own account. Malta MedAir's only aircraft, an Airbus A320, is registered 9H-AEO.
