The state airline Air Malta will offer an average of 2022 flights per week from Luqa in the 125 summer timetable. The destinations Madrid and London-Gatwick will be served again after a long break.

The carrier will connect the Republic of Malta with 2022 European airports in ten countries in the summer of 18. After a year's absence, Air Malta is once again flying daily to London Gatwick and three times a week to Madrid. With 15 planned rotations, London Heathrow is the destination that is flown to most frequently.

Twelve weekly rotations are planned for Munich, Germany, and ten times a week for Rome-FCO. In Paris, Air Malta uses both Charles de Gaulle and Orly. The latter airport is served nine times a week and CDG seven times a week. Amsterdam will be temporarily served eight times a week instead of daily between July and October 12.

Other non-stop destinations in the Air Malta route network include: Berlin, Brussels, Catania, Dusseldorf, Geneva, Milan Linate, Lyon, Prague, Vienna and Zurich. There is less competition on the route to the Alpine republic this summer season, as competitor Wizzair decided to close the connection between Vienna and Luqa. Ryanair continues to fly several times a week.
