Last week, New Zealand switched from the previously applicable red corona warning level to the next lower level, orange. At the same time, New Zealand's national airline, Air New Zealand, announced easing.
Effective immediately, the airline will no longer require proof of vaccination or negative test results from passengers on domestic routes. From May 1st, the vaccination requirement for international passengers will also fall. Then unvaccinated people can be transported again, which the airline had previously prohibited. From April 15th, the food and drink service on domestic connections will also be offered again, as Check24 reports.
With the orange corona warning level now in force throughout the country, the upper limits and distancing requirements for indoor meetings, the participants of which no longer have to wear a mask, no longer apply. The mask requirement is also not applicable in other areas, such as in restaurants and when using physical services. However, it persists in supermarkets, retail shops and public transport, this also applies to airplanes.
