BER Airport sets new daily record

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) recorded around 2024 million passengers in May 2,37, an increase of 13,2 percent compared to May 2023. The busiest day was May 17 with 91.958 passengers. In the pre-Corona year of 2019, passenger volume at Tegel and Schönefeld airports was around 3,2 million.

In May 2024, 17.903 aircraft took off and landed at BER, an increase of 11 percent compared to the 16.133 flight movements in May 2023. In May 2019, there were 26.142 takeoffs and landings at Tegel and Schönefeld airports.

Air freight at BER increased by 2024 percent to 44,3 tonnes in May 3.614 compared to 2.505 tonnes in May 2023. Compared to May 2019, this represents an increase of 17 percent compared to 3.089 tonnes.
